The star quarterback Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys was transported from the Dallas Cowboys stadium to a nearby hospital in the wake of enduring a daunting right ankle injury during the Sunday night football game against the New York Giants at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Prescott’s grim ankle injury occurred halfway through the second from last quarter while being handled by Giants defensive back Logan Ryan on a nine-yard run. The double cross Pro Bowler’s lower leg seemed to twist the incorrect way when Ryan tackled him down.
The group at AT&T Stadium was quiet as Prescott was inspected by the Cowboys’ preparation staff for a few minutes before leaving on a medical cart.
Players and coaches from the two groups – including previous Cowboys lead trainer and current Giants offensive coordinator Jason Garrett – comforted Prescott as he left the field in tears. The quarterback lifted his hand in affirmation.
Association sources disclosed to ESPN that Prescott will go through medical procedure Sunday night to fix the injured ankle.
