At 27 years old, famous pop star Ariana Grande officially got married to her fiance Dalton Gomez! The couple first began dating in January of 2020 and got engaged in December of 2020. On May 17th, it was confirmed that the two had officially tied the knot in Ariana Grande’s home in Montecito, CA.
Sadly though, neither Grande nor Gomez were able to reveal this exciting news on their own, instead it was confirmed by TMZ that the two had an intimate wedding in Grande’s home. TMZ said that “We’re told there was no real “ceremony” — she and her fiance, Dalton Gomez, said their “I dos” in an informal way. It was really just for them. It’s unclear how long they planned to do it this way — in other words, whether it was impulsive or not.”
According to PEOPLE, one of Grande’s representatives stated that “It was tiny and intimate — less than 20 people. The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn’t be happier.”
A source also told PEOPLE that “Both Ari and Dalton love Montecito. They spend a lot of time there. It seems only natural that they would get married at Ari’s beautiful and historic house.” After getting engaged in December of 2020 and quarantining together, everyone in Grande’s life seemed to be very supportive of the couple’s relationship. TMZ notes that Grande’s mother welcomed Gomez into the family with open arms saying “I am so excited to welcome Dalton Gomez into our family! Ariana, I love you and Dalton so much!!!! Here’s to happily ever after! YAY! Xoxoxo”
Gomez is different from some of Grande’s past relationships as he is mostly out of the public eye, and wasn’t a celebrity before they got together. Grande’s partners in the past including Pete Davidson, Mac Miller, and Big Sean all had previous careers and major publicity before the additional following of Grande’s fandom. Gomez seemed to have a more “normal” life compared to these other men. Gomez works as a realtor and Elle says that “According to his bio on the site, Gomez was raised in southern California and has been working in the luxury real estate market for five years. He works with A-list buyers and has sold multi-million dollar homes.”
Though he wasn’t an A-list celebrity himself, it was confirmed that he has been friends with some, including Miley Cyrus in 2017.
After some past relationships which ended in tragic heartbreaks, it is refreshing to see Ariana happy and in love again. Wishing Ariana and Dalton a happy marriage!
