Fans are wishing Nick Jonas good health after he got injured from falling off a bike on May 15. “KING!! so glad you’re okay! please rest up,” an Instagram user said. Jonas was taken to the hospital after the accident but has since been released.
Jonas did still do The Voice shortly after his injury. When Jonas was asked if he was alright he said he had a “spill on a bike” and he had a cracked rib and “other bumps and bruises.” He and Blake Shelton even joked: “Blake, please don’t make me laugh too much, because it kind of hurts a lot.” Shelton said, “You’re just trying to get sympathy votes on this show.” Jonas responded sarcastically, “ It’s a big, elaborate plan.”
On Late Night With Seth Meyers, Jonas explained what led up to the bike accident. “We were shooting something for NBC, my brothers and I, and it was a competitive thing.” He explained how he and his brothers were planning to proceed with caution in the bike race after seeing the intensity of it. “We said, ‘Just take it easy, let’s not overdo it.’” However, Jonas still ended up falling. “It was one of those things where the steering wheel or whatever, the handlebars, just kind of got out from under me, and I just tumbled man.” He recalled thinking he was going to hurt one of his brothers due to the fact that they were racing close together. “But then when I got up, I was like, ‘Nope, nope, It’s me.”
Since his injury, Jonas has been at theBillboard Music Awards. Also, in a recent interview with Cassie DiLaura from ET, Jonas revealed, “I don’t know what happened but after a week of some recovery and, you know just some laser treatment on the spot, I feel really good.” Also, the NBC show, Olympic Dreams Featuring Jonas Brother, is set to air in July.
