Online and real life audiences were presented with a 5v5 match between North America (NA) and Europe (EU) where one team will win Valorant Champion Tour (VCT) masters. Sentinels Win their first international event in Iceland with a final score of 3 points to 0.
The NA Sentinels team has Shazam, a duelist/initiator main, Tenz, a Duelist main, Sick, who is also a duelist main, Zombs, a controller main, and Dapr, a sentinel main. The EU Fnatic team has Doma a duelist main, Derke a duelist main, Mistic a controller main, Magnum a sentinel main, and Boaster an initiator main.
The first game on the VCT masters finale had the map split. The game started off really well for the Sentinels because 3 teammates out of the 5 dropped about 23 kills and more, which means that Sentinels worked together to get those kills together. Closing the first game with a strong 1-0 lead by Sentinels.
Second game on, Fnatic takes on Sentinels hitting them hard on every round of the game, really pushing them hard into round 25 where Sentinels took that force and put it right back at Fnatic, filling the lead Fnatic had on Sentinels. The NA team then won the second game with a whopping 33 kills for Tenz by himself. After winning the second game, Sentinels were all fired up for the third game of the VCT masters which means that it is match point since there are only 5 games in total.
During a post match interview, Tenz answered the question “how do you respond to the pressure of the game and the audiences watching you?” Tenz then responded by saying “It’s a new game and you’re at the top.” This response means that since the game is new there is nothing to be nervous about since you already know you are one of the best players and teams in the world.
For game three on the map Haven, Sentinels dominated the first half of the game with a round score of 8-4 making Fnatic realize that they have to push harder to win the game. The second half of the game, Fnatic starts to pop off and take down 6 rounds for themselves making the round score 8-10 for team Fnatic. The rounds go back and forth until Sentinels end the game by 16-14. Both teams played hard but in the end Sentinels beat one of the best teams in Europe with a game score of 3-0.
Sentinels player Sick also had an interview about the game and how it feels to be the best team in the world. Sick responds in the interview question about how to be the best team in the world, saying “it’s really our adaptability and chemistry.” Chemistry in team games is very important knowing what your teammate wants and making plays together really makes them really good at the game winning the grand finals.
The NA Sentinels team has Shazam, a duelist/initiator main, Tenz, a Duelist main, Sick, who is also a duelist main, Zombs, a controller main, and Dapr, a sentinel main. The EU Fnatic team has Doma a duelist main, Derke a duelist main, Mistic a controller main, Magnum a sentinel main, and Boaster an initiator main. All put the efforts into maining those characters to fight in the end of VCT masters.
VCT masters is a bracket international game where teams from NA and EU play with and against each other to get to the top and become the champions. All teams competed and it all came to an end with the final game of the upper bracket finals which was the NA team Sentinels and the EU team Fnatic. In the end, Sentinels takes over Fnatic making Sentinels win their first international Valorant event.
