Netflix picked up the webtoon adaptation of ‘A Business Proposal,’ and it is now available for global fans. The webtoon, written by Haewha, was released in 2018. The genre consists of comedy, drama, romance, slice of life, and Josei (webtoons for females). On ‘Manwhatop.com’ The rating is an average of 4.5 stars out of five and rank 46th with 2.7 million views.
This webtoon is a thrilling story about office romance. The main character Shin Ha-ri attended a blind date for a friend, to find out her blind date was her boss and he was looking for a wife. There are also hints of love triangles as well as other office romances in the building.
The live-adaptation premiered on February 28th and new episodes will be aired every Monday and Tuesday. There will be a total of 12 episodes each 60-minutes long. Ahn Hyo-Seop will be played as the lead male Kang Tae-Mu, with Kim Sejeong, as lead female Shin Ha-ri. Ahn Hyo-Seop is famous for Korean drama shows such as ‘Abyss,’ ‘Doctor Romantic,’ and ‘Lovers of the Red Sky.’ Kim Sejeong is known for being a contestant in a reality show ‘Produce 101’ and a member of the girl group ‘IOI’.
Tapas, the webtoon company, is thrilled to partner with Netflix’s fan favorite series. They stated, “For some time, we’ve known that our content is uniquely positioned for adaptation in film and tv, this series joins our release of Dr. Brain in proceeding the appeal of webcomic across media.”
