Brady is Back

It only took Tom Brady 40 days of claiming he was going to retire, for him to announce his return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022-23 season. It will be his 23rd season playing in the NFL and the quarterback is ready for another super bowl ring.

“These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands,” Brady said in a Tweet. “That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG.”

The 44-year-old professional athlete came to Twitter making the declaration just moments after the NCAA’s March Madness Selection Sunday show. He claimed he needed to take care of some “unfinished business” with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With his return, the NFL is just as exciting. Let’s take a look at some of the insane statistics Brady has accomplished:

Brady has the most rings out of any quarterback in NFL history with 7 rings (02’, 03’, 05’, 15’, 17’, 18’, 21’), 6 of which are with the New England Patriots. He is the Super Bowl’s all-time leader in completions, yards and touchdowns and it’s not even close. No other quarterback played in a Super Bowl after the age of 40. Brady played in 3. He has played in 18% of all Super Bowls, has nearly twice as many postseason passing touchdowns as any other player, and has never had a losing season as a starter.

There’s a reason why people call him the Greatest Of All Time (aka G.O.A.T).
