From the Disney’s Pixar movie ‘Turning Red,’ the fictional early 2000 boy group 4*Town rises in popularity all over social media. 4*town draws inspiration from the most popular groups of that era, references to *NSYNC, bearing the group’s name’s star, as well as possibly the group O-town.
There are a total of 5 members: Robaire voiced by Jordan Fisher, Josh Levi as Aaron Z, Topher Ngo as Aaron T, Finneaase O’ Connel as Jesse, and Grayson Villaneva as Taeyoung. Each member has their own unique background and personality. The lead singer Robaire speaks french, and stated by director Domme Shi, “He’s the one that is going to have that solo career after the boy band dissolves.” Taeyoung, inspired by BTS’ Jimin, is a cute animal lover. Aaron T. Is described as the tall guy who went to art school, and fun fact: he is the only member that has two kids.
The boy band became famous to the public because of their music and physical appearance. Their spotify profile has over a million monthly listeners and their most popular song ‘Nobody Like you’ hit 5,651,017 listens. Although they have only 3 official songs in the movie there are many versions including the mandarin adaptation. The lyrics are produced by none other than Billie Elish and her brother Finneas O’Connell.
Fans from Tik Tok are going crazy over the 4*town merchandise in the Disneyland parks. The merchandise is available to purchase for $36.99 for the 4*Town world tour shirt and $54.99 for the sweatshirt.
