The Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks Game 7 was absolutely stunning, if you were a Mavericks fan, Mavericks star Luka Dončić dropped 35 points and had 10 rebounds, but he wasn’t the only player popping off. Spencer Dinwiddie and Jalen Brunson both combined for a massive 54 points to send the Mavs 123-90 over the Suns on Sunday evening.

No. 4 seeds are not supposed to beat No. 1 seeds like how the Mavs did to the Suns. Not only were they the underdogs, the Dallas Mavericks were playing on Phoenix’s home court, so they were at a huge disadvantage already. The Mavs never trailed and at one point led by as many as 46 points. They were even up by 30 at halftime, and according to ESPN’s Kirk Goldsberry, this was the largest halftime lead in Game 7 history!

The Dallas Mavericks shot for an unthinkable 46/81 field goals (56.8%) and 19/39 three-pointers (48.7%). On the other side of the court, the Phoenix Suns shot a low 33/87 field goals (37.9%) and 12/34 from three (35.3%). Overall, it seems Dallas wanted it a little more and used that drive to influence their shooting percentage.

Suns stars Devin Booker and Chris Paul could not make anything go. Combined, the two only scored 21 points and created 4 turnovers. It was not their night.

The Dallas Mavericks now face the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. This series starts on Wednesday, May 18th and is expected to be extremely competitive.
