On an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’, Good Burger’s iconic duo, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell have announced the movie is going to be getting a sequel after almost three decades. “It’s such a blessing man. It’s unbelievable, we’re going to shoot it this summer and it’ll be out soon,” Thompson told Fallon.
According to a press release on the new movie, its plot is going to be about Dexter Reed, played by Kenan Thompson, and how he got burnt out by one of his failed inventions. Ed, played by Kel Mitchell, welcomes Reed back into his old job with open arms, but with Reed back in his old job, he is going to be putting the restaurant in risk once again to try and ‘get back up on his feet’ with his inventions.
“Being a part of something so many generations of people have come to love has made me so proud and now to be back where it all began working on the sequel is surreal!,” Thompson said. “Love performing with my brother Kel and can’t wait to show the fans what these characters have been up to since we last saw them.”
