Concert Season is Upon Us

By Caleb Rippee

The rain and snow stop, the sun comes out, the temperature rises, and your favorite artists start warming up the tour buses and hit the road. Concert season is finally here.

Concert season has already begun, with Coachella 2023 bringing out some amazing artists for incredible performances. The festival even features some unexpected guests, like the hardcore beatdown band, “Knocked Loose.” The band caused the largest mosh pit in Coachella history. A video has also surfaced of Billie Eilish vibing to the band’s performance from the side stage.

There are also many legendary bands coming back. The always regal Queen are returning with Adam Lambert for a massive tour across North America. Tickets are already beginning to sell out despite the tour not being until later in the year.

Some classic bands are also saying goodbye, with Aerosmith recently announcing their “Peace Out” farewell tour which will also be taking place this year. The run will include 40 dates and even go into early 2024 as the rockers take the stage for a final time.

There are also some newer acts exploring uncharted territory. The recently popular UK-based  “Sleep Token” are preparing to head out on their first headline tour across North America. The tour was so anticipated by fans that it sold out mere days after its announcement. Yep, the entire tour. Sold out. In two days. The band has also made their way onto some large festival rosters, such as Aftershock and Graspop.

Taylor Swift is also beginning her “Eras Tour” which will feature songs from her entire discography and will also be featuring lots of beloved artists opening the show such as Paramore and Beabadobee.

Countless more amazing tours are going on this year, so there will be an awesome concert waiting for every kind of music fan.
