Seven bodies were found during the search for two missing teens in Okmulgee County, 14-year-old Ivy Webster and 16-year-old Brittany Brewer. None of the 7 bodies were identified as the girls and the authorities have released limited details. However the Sheriff, Eddy Rice, has announced that the authorities will be calling off the search, stating: “We believe to have found everything that we were seeking this morning.” While the Sheriff cannot share many details, he has said that the case is being investigated as a homicide.
The girls were reported earlier in the week as missing and were allegedly seen in a white Chevrolet pickup with registered sex offender and rapist, Jesse L. McFadden. This was at about 1:30 am. McFadden was scheduled to go on trial Monday for unrelated charges including possession of child pornography and soliciting sexual conduct with a minor using technology.
The community is eagerly awaiting justice and working to comfort the families of the victims. A vigil for the girls was held at the local high school on Monday.
