- Coloring
Coloring is an activity that is as time consuming as you make it. It is a great way to unwind, clear your mind, and exercise creativity. Instead of feeding your brain with media, give your brain a break.
- Yoga
Not only is yoga healthy for your body, it’s decompressing, so it will slow your heart rate and reduce your stress, which is the opposite of what the media will do. Doing yoga regularly allows you to practice consistency, work ethic, and time management.
- Journaling
Journaling is one of the most impactful methods in quieting your mind and reducing stress. Without actually speaking out loud, it allows you to get out any negative or positive thoughts, which in turn allows you to let go or feel empowered by it. It will lift weight off your shoulders.
- Organization
Depending on the type of person you are, organization and cleanliness may be overwhelming, or for others, calming. Depending on the way you think about it, cleaning does not always have to be a chore. It can sometimes be a way to decompress, and it can leave you with a sense of achievement.
- Reading
Reading not only expands your knowledge and worldly view, but it leaves you with something to consider. A piece of each book is left behind with you. Reading is another way to quiet your mind and allow yourself to take a break.
- Sport
Playing a sport doesn’t always have to be competitive. Practicing a sport, even if it’s just for fun, gives you something to work towards—a goal, or objective, that tests your patience and determination. It’s healthy, expands your skills, and pushes your limits.
