Caring for yourself can be done in so many ways internally and externally, skin care, vitamins, diets and more. Another way to care for yourself is with your hair.
Your hair is almost like an accessory if you think about it. You can change it everyday to match your outfit or the vibe for the day, but you have to take care of. So, here are some things to add to your hair care routine.
The first thing isn’t the products going directly in your hair, but using silk pillowcases and wearing bonnets. Silk pillowcases reduce the friction between your hair and the pillow case, which helps minimize hair breakage, tangles, and frizz keeping the hair smooth. Now if you can’t get silk pillowcases or want extra protection you can get a bonnet. Along with protecting your hair from friction and breakage, bonnets help retain the moisture and oils in your hair keeping it hydrated.
Another way to take care of your hair is your diet and supplements. Changing your diet by what you eat or adding supplements can help target underlying issues caused by nutritional deficiencies. Issues can be hair breakage and thinning overtime. Deficiencies in Vitamin D, Vitamin B, Iron, Collagen, and Zinc can all cause these issues. You can get your daily intake of these vitamins through what you eat such as fruits and vegetables, vitamin gummies, or tablets to take daily to make sure your vitamin levels aren’t low.
Another thing you must make sure is you are drinking plenty of water, Precision Hair Restoration Practice Group states, “Proper hydration is certainly a step toward having healthy hair growth. When your body is properly hydrated it can support the hair’s natural growth cycle.”
Lastly, another key step to make sure you have in your routine especially if you have curly hair is a moisturizing routine. Ensuring your hair is moisturized allows the hair to gain elasticity and flexibility preventing brittleness, breakage, and split ends.
There are many different ways to add moisture to your hair like using oils, leave-in conditioner, and hydrating creams. Coconut oil and castor oil and great to add to the hair strands to moisturize them. Many hair brands sell leave-in conditioners. My favorites would be from Fenty Hair and It’s a 10.
You are now all set for your new hair regime and will be seeing some shiny, smooth, moisturized hair coming your way.
