As a junior, I feel like I have so much time left, when in reality, it’s crazy that I already am heading towards my senior year. If you would’ve told me in eighth grade that my high school years would go by very quickly, I would tell you that I was glad, and just wanted to get out. Now that I am here, all I want is for time to slow down just a little bit.
I just became aware of how much time I have left and it is very minimal. Some might say that I still have my whole senior year left, which is true, but if it’s anything like these past three years, then it will be over before I know it.
Some advice I’d give to those younger kids growing up in the world is to really enjoy it. Everyone says it, and everyone brushes it off. Don’t. Live your life to the fullest, and don’t wish it away.
I have talked to many seniors over these past few days, and many of them agreed with me on the aspect of how fast time flies.
Senior Zoie Osborne states, “Time has been going by super duper fast, and all the events that come with senior year make it seem to go by even faster. The first semester felt slower, but by the time the second semester came around, everything just came up so quickly.”
Long story short, embrace the time, and thrive in life. Don’t live with regrets, and especially don’t waste your high school time.
