The National Charity League is the oldest and largest mother-daughter charity organization in the country. With over 250 chapters and 70,000 members, this organization has a focus on leadership, cultural, and philanthropy events that provide an outlet for young women and their mothers to contribute not only to the community, but also to their knowledge and abilities that help them to prepare for tackling finances, college applications, and delegating functional meetings.
This long-standing organization has recently come to Benicia with its brand new chapter, and is looking to expand its membership. Membership is open from now until the end of January for young women and their mothers from current grades 6 to 11 (future 7th to 12th graders). NCL provides easy connections to many service organizations making community service accessible and convenient (many of which can be reported in college applications). Some partners include White Pony Express, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Solano County Food Bank, Loma Vista Farm, and Dress for Success. It is also a great opportunity to hold leadership positions as well as meet new people who have similar desires to contribute to the community.
