FIFA World Cup 2026

     The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be taking place from Thursday,  June 11 to Sunday,  July 19 2026 totalling 39 days and 104 matches. The World Cup will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The men’s FIFA world cup is held every four years as the last one was in winter of 2022 and won by Argentina. Standard tickets are now starting for $10,000, final match tickets will be reaching over $10,000, early matches will be around $2,000. 

        32 teams usually play in the World Cup, but things will be changing up this World Cup. For the first time in history, there will be 48 teams competing against each other and fighting for the FIFA World Cup Trophy and extra gold medals. As of late April 2026, fans are rooting and favoriting for the teams Argentina and Spain. The matches including the final match for the World Cup will be up to 90 minutes. There will be 45 minutes for each half. The World Cup final halftime will be extended to 25-30 minutes and the audience will look forward to a Super Bowl-styled half-time show being played by Coldplay, and is led by Chris Martin.

     The United States will be hosting the World Cup at 11 stadiums. The Levis Stadium in San Francisco CA, NGR Stadium in Houston, Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Lumen Field in Seattle, Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Gillette Stadium in Boston, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, AT&T Stadium in Dallas, and MetLife Stadium in NY/NJ.

    In Mexico, there will be 3 stadiums used. Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, Estadio Akron in Zapopan, and Estadio BBVA in Guadalupe. And finally, in Canada there will be two stadiums in use being the BMO Field in Toronto and BC Place in Vancouver. In total, there will be 16 stadiums players will be playing on.

     According to Between 5-10 million people are expected to travel to the United States, Canada, and Mexico to watch the World Cup. Will you be there?
